Rukia Bulle is an award-winning multimedia journalist currently working with Kenya’s largest media house, Nation Media Group.
With years of experience, Rukia has demonstrated expertise in human interest and children’s stories, earning both local and global recognition. In 2024, she was honoured with the BBC News Komla Dumor Award.
In 2023, she was named one of the 100 Most Influential Kenyan Muslims. Beyond reporting, Rukia has been a trailblazer in digital media innovation, producing engaging multimedia content.
Her notable work includes coverage of Kenya’s 2022 General Elections and national examinations.
An accomplished moderator and MC, she has hosted significant events, including the Level Up Africa TikTok event and the Citizen Assembly, focusing on national protests.
Rukia holds a degree in Journalism from the United States International University (USIU) and is pursuing a Master’s degree in International Relations.
