Moses Kuria

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria

Kuria was first elected as the Gatundu South MP unopposed in the 2013 general elections following the death of Hon. Jossy Ngugi who had been elected on a TNA ticket. He would then be re-elected in 2017.

Kuria, an ally of Deputy President William Ruto, has firmly indicated that he is against the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

In February 2021, Kuria submitted a legislative proposal to the Speaker of the National Assembly for an acceptable win-win solution for the two thirds gender rule.

He proposed the retaining of the 47 women reps in the National Assembly, 47 women reps in the Senate and 3 women MPs in the National Assembly to represent the youth and persons with disability.
