• 3:01 pm President Ruto has ordered Treasury CS Mbadi and his Education counterpart Ogamba to align the capitation disbursement formula with the education calendar year amid concerns about disruption in capital flow to schools.
• 2:51 pm Primary school heads, through KEPSHA chair Fuad Ali, have called for increase in funding for free primary education, saying that the current allocation is inadequate for meeting rising costs; they want the capitation raised to Ksh2,300 per pupil from Ksh1,420.
