Dorcas Shikobe

She is the captain of the Kenyan women's soccer team, Harambee Starlets. In November 2019, the defender led the national team as they were crowned winners of the 2019 Cecafa Championship in Tanzania.

Starlets dethroned former champions Tanzania's Kilimanjaro Queens 2-0 in the final at the Chamazi Stadium, Dar es Saalam to lift their first-ever regional title without conceding a single goal.

The win came shortly after the team got nominated for the women's national team by the Confederation of African Football (Caf).

Njogu wa Njoroge

Njogu wa Njoroge is a vernacular presenter at Kameme TV.

He has a huge following among the Gikuyu language speakers and started his career as a media personality in 2001, when he auditioned for a football commentator job on KBC.

Njogu has emerged as a shrewd mobiliser who has raised funds for various causes. 

James Mworia

James Mwirigi Mworia is a Kenyan lawyer, accountant, and business executive.

He is the managing director and chief executive officer of Centum Investment Company, the largest publicly traded private capital firm in Eastern Africa.

He has served in that capacity since 2008.

In October 2016, he was appointed Chancellor of Machakos University, a public university in Machakos County, Kenya.

Dennis Okari

Okari is a senior investigative and crime reporter at Nation Media Group.

He is also a prime time news anchor at NTV.

He is famous for bilingual abilities, and eloquence in both English and Swahili languages. 

In July 2019, an exposé by NTVs Dennis Okari, that aired on Sunday night, showed how rogue supermarket officials use chemicals, to increase the shelf life of products, putting at risk the lives of millions of Kenyans.

Wanuri Kahiu

She is a renowned filmmaker who stood tall in the face of adversity with her controversial movie Rafiki (2018), which won her multiple awards in 2019. 

Rafiki, was banned in Kenya by the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) after it was cited for promoting the rights of LGBTQ+ community. 

Wanuri also won the Young Programmer's Choice Award at the Dublin International Film Festival 2019.

She was featured as the Next Time 100 Most Influential People in the world for her daring films.

Willy M Tuva

Willy M Tuva is both a radio and TV presenter, who works for the Royal Media Services.

The presenter, who hosts Mambo Mseto on Radio Citizen FM and the Mseto East Africa show on Citizen TV, was named the best radio and TV presenter in Africa at the  Afrika Muzik Magazine Awards (Afrimma) held in Texas, USA in October 2019.

Michelle Ntalami

Michelle Ntalami is a budding entrepreneur who founded and serves as the CEO of Marini Naturals.

Her journey into the world of natural hair-care products was inspired by her dad, who was battling cancer.

She decided to cut her hair in solidarity with her father during his brave battle, and it was during this period that she had her 'light bulb moment,' going on to launch several natural hair-care products for all sexes.

In 2018, she was crowned as the female entrepreneur of the year in the inaugural Business Daily Newspaper's Top 40 Under 40 Women.

Daniel 'Churchill' Ndambuki

He is arguably the Kenya's most successful comedian. Churchill hosts the comedy television show Churchill Show on NTV and has worked in the comedy industry since 1996.

He launched the Churchill Live Comedy Show in September 2008 but was renamed Churchill Show during its third season in 2012.

Samidoh

Samuel Muchoki known to many by his stage name, Samidoh, is a household name.

The musician, who says that his fame did not come on a silver platter, has inspired millions of his fans with his creative and educational music.

Samidoh uses the Kikuyu dialect in his songs and his shows are always a hit.
