Mark Obar

Mark Obar writes for Kenyans.co.ke, a digital media publishing platform in Nairobi Kenya. Previously, Mark had served as Digital Monetization Editor at Standard Group PLC, Technology Consultant with Law Society of Kenya and the Internet Society (USA).

In 2015, Mark was named among Top Twelve Best Young Journalists in the World by Thomson Reuters Foundation in the United Kingdom. He was also nominated for Best TV Documentary Producer (students category) by Kalasha International Film and TV Market in 2011.

Mark has also authored one book, The Intersection Between Law and Technology. He has served as an Adjunct in Riara University and Multimedia University of Kenya.

Mark earned a BSc in Computing and Electronics Engineering from Open University (UK), to add to his MBA (University of South Wales - UK), BSc in Information Science - Moi University and a Diploma in Mass Communication from Multimedia University among other certification courses.

Mark is also a passionate follower of Christ and a lover of humanity.
