Ministry of Finance & National Treasury

The stability of the countrys economy for sustainable development is anchored on the pillar of a stable macroeconomic framework. The National treasury will therefore be responsible for developing and managing the macroeconomic policies of the country. This ministry will also be responsible for supervision and monitoring of the constitutional, legal and responsible management of the economy and public financial operations.

The National Treasury will also be responsible for providing oversight of all financial institutions including Cooperatives and Saccos dealing with financial functions.

Ukur Yattani

Ukur Yatani is the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and former CS for Labour and Social Protection.

Born in Forole, North Horr sub-county in 1967, Yatani was a stellar student culminating his studies in the US where he graduated with a Master of Public Administration and Public Policy degree from the University of York in the UK.

Patrick Njoroge

Born in 1961, Patrick Ngugi Njoroge is an economist, banker and the Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya from June 2015 to date.

He attended Mangu High School from 1973 until 1976, for his O-Level education.
