Old Mutual on Thursday gave Faulu Microfinance Bank Ksh900 million to boost digital and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME).
Julius Ouma, Faulu Microfinance Bank CEO while commenting on this remarked that the bank was eager to become a leader in the digital finance space. He added that the company was planning to make its services more accessible to its customers.
"We see a great opportunity to grow our investment and support amongst MSMEs as they represent the lifeblood of our economy. We will also provide more convenient transaction services," Ouma added.
The funding was part of the bank's strategy to improve its performance. The parent company Old Mutual gave the fund to strengthen Faulu Microfinance Bank's operation.
