One person was on Monday killed and 23 others seriously injured after they were involved in an early morning accident.
The accident occurred after a bus belonging to Tahmeed bus company veered off the road at Maanzoni near Machakos Junction.
The injured were taken to Machakos Level 5 hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
Last week, a family of six was killed on the same highway as they were returning home from a family function.
