The incident depicted the security personnel ganging up against the student while physically assaulting him.

Consequently, the students have issued demands to law enforcement officers to arrest the security guards and conduct investigations into the matter.

However, at the time of publication of this article, the institution was yet to issue a statement on the protests.

Heavy police presence was also witnessed on the busy road after they were deployed to quell the protests.

The student protests have joined a wave of unrest that has rocked various parts of the country as Kenyans protest the Finance Bill.

On Monday morning residents of several constituencies such as Nyali and Kabete stormed the offices of their members of parliament.

The residents demanded to speak to their MPs citing that they voted to pass the controversial Finance Bill of 2024.

Additionally, there have been protests staged to take place in major towns of the country including Nairobi.
