Previous media reports had indicated that the Dennis-Priit-based media house had courted the journalist before he chose to head to TV47.

The sources further added that the journalist may start working for Royal Media Services in July.

Wallah, who left K24 took up TV47’s offer to join the station shortly after his resignation.

Sources within newsrooms had also opined that the journalist had rejected a counteroffer from Mediamax who had moved to retain him at the station.

In the first show at TV47, the journalist delved into unpacking the events that surrounded the heinous crime where Rita Waeni was murdered.

Wallah’s show was one in an array of new shows on TV47’s lineup after the channel’s poaching and hiring sweep across the media.

In May, TV47 debuted several shows including “This Friday” by Betty Kyalo who had also recently joined the team.

Radio presenter Steve Jacob Maunda popularly known as Shatta Bway also took on a new segment on the station titled 'TV47 Irie Vibes' that airs on Saturdays at 10 pm.
