“PCK wishes to inform our esteemed customers and the general public that the rates for Mpost Virtual Boxes/Addresses for both Corporate and Individual, have been adjusted with effect from July 5, 2024,” the notice from Tonui read in part.

PCK is the Public Postal Licensee mandated with the provision of accessible, affordable and reliable postal services to all parts of Kenya.

The Postmaster General noted that the corporation was committed to delivering innovative communication and logistical solutions to customers at all times.

MPost was launched by the corporation as an innovative way to address the challenge of Kenyans without physical postal address but in need to receive mail.

As such, MPost converts mobile numbers into virtual addresses ensuring efficient mail and parcel delivery for individuals and businesses.

Currently, the service has 300,000 registered customers with 80,000 active users.

Kenyans can register for the service either through the mpost.co.ke website or by dialling USSD Code *631#.

Payments for the services are made through the eCitizen portal following a directive by President William Ruto to all corporations to use the platform.
