MCSK CEO Ezekiel Mutua Honoured with a Prestigious Leadership Award

Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) CEO Ezekiel Mutua was honoured with the Leadership Award at the prestigious Human Harmony Conference and Awards for his immense contributions in society.

The event took place on August 19 in Kathmandu, Nepal, and the Award recognised his significant contributions to leadership and governance.

According to the conference, Mutua's dedication to promoting ethical leadership has had a transformative impact on the organisations and communities he has served, inspiring others to lead with integrity and purpose.

During his acceptance speech, Mutua emphasised the need for leaders to uphold integrity, transparency and accountability in their roles.

“Leadership is not about power, it is about responsibility and service to the people,” Mutua stated, highlighting the critical role of ethical leadership in achieving lasting social change.

He delivered an inspiring address on the importance of ethical leadership in driving sustainable development and social progress.

The MCSK CEO further shared his experiences in promoting ethical leadership practices that have fostered trust and collaboration among diverse stakeholders.

As the Human Harmony Conference concluded, Mutua’s message of ethical leadership resonated with attendees, reinforcing the conference’s overarching theme of building a harmonious, prosperous future for all.

Mutua has a rich background with over 25 years' of experience in media and broadcast Sector, fifteen of which he has served at the senior management level.

He is the current First Vice Chairperson for the African Film Content Standard Setting Steering Committee.

In 2010, President Mwai Kibaki was awarded the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS)  for his outstanding contribution to the country.

The Leadership Award is a testament of the positive influence Dr Ezekiel Mutua has had in his service to the people in various capacities.
