Mass House Club in Nairobi, located along Ngong Racecourse, is under scrutiny after a university student died under unclear circumstances.

The night ended tragically for the student, who had gone out to celebrate Valentine's Day.

In an official statement, the club stated that the incident occurred between the late hours of Friday, February 14, and the early hours of Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Although the club refrained from revealing further details about the incident, it expressed sympathy to the affected family and confirmed that it is working closely with authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the student's death.

"Despite us being unable to share any detailed information regarding the incident,  we are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities in their ongoing investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident," the statement continued.

Reports have alleged that the circumstances leading to the student's death might have resulted from injuries allegedly sustained in an altercation.

"Masshouse is firmly dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our clients remains a top priority. We ask for your patience and understanding at this time," the statement continued.

News of the student's death took the internet by storm after his brother, using the handle @ross_corleone, took to X to announce the tragic incident.

"Good morning Kenyans, please assist me, I lost my brother on Sunday at Mass House. The police report said, the joint found a young man collapsed kwa stairs, autopsy jana shows he was killed," his tweet read.

IImmediately, Kenyans on X reacted, demanding to know the circumstances that led to his death.

This is not the first time a student has died in an entertainment joint. Many times, what starts as a fun night ends in altercations that lead to injuries and, in some unfortunate cases, death.
