Cabinet Secretary for Mining and Blue Economy, Ali Hassan Joho, has appointed 10 members to the Community Development Agreement Committee between Kipkorgot Community and Carbacid (CO2) Limited in Uasin Gishu County.
Further, he also appointed nine members to the Community Development Agreement Committee between Bathi Community and Carbacid (CO2) Limited in Kiambu County.
In a gazette notice dated February 21, the CSs stated that members appointed to the Committee shall serve for a term of three years, with effect.
“It is notified for the general information of the public that pursuant to Regulation 7 (1) of the Mining (Community Development Agreement) Regulations, 2017, the following are the members of the Community Development Agreement Committee between Kipkorgot Community in Uasin Gishu County and Carbacid (CO2) Limited,” part of the notice reads.
The members elected in Kiambu County are Irene Kurgat, Anthony Karago Mburu, Isaiah Murithi Mutiiria, Robert Kiplangat Kosgei, David Kimani Kuria, Eliud N. Ndichu, Stephen Nyutu Wamwere, Serah Njeri Karanja, and Patrick Njenga Wamwaki.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba on the other hand appointed Prof Geoffrey Wahungu as the Chairperson of the Nyandarua National Polytechnic Council.
Wahungu will serve for three years with effect from February 21.
On the other hand, Migos elected Paul Lilan as the Chairperson of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training and the other four members to the Board of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority, with effect from February 21.
Joan A. Machayo, Charles Njore Majani, Eric Ochieng, and Dr. Ehud Gachungu are other members of the board at the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 8 (3) and 8 (13) of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Act, 2013, the Cabinet Secretary for Education appoints Paul Lilan as the Chairperson,” the notice reads.
