Popular Kenyan journalist Flora Limukii has quit her role at global media house CNBC Africa.
Through a statement, Limukii revealed that she had transitioned from the media world, hinting at a new career path that she did not delve into.
“Today marks my last day in the newsroom! Nostalgic. Six years down the line! KBC, Tuko, Opera News, Switch TV, TV47, and CNBC Africa. It’s time to shift from the newsroom to the boardroom! It’s been quite a nice ride! Time now for a new challenge,” Limukii noted.
Before her latest announcement, Limukii was working at the Kigali-based media house as a TV presenter and producer since late 2023.
Her role at the media house was focused on developmental and business-orientated stories, aiming to amplify African narratives on a global platform.
In addition to her roles in television, Limukii contributes as a writer for Forbes Africa, showcasing her strong storytelling abilities.
At CNBC, Limukii has gained widespread recognition for a career marked by her adeptness at unearthing and narrating compelling narratives from often-overlooked domains, focusing on stories that resonate deeply with people.
She has been credited for crafting impactful narratives that not only inform but also influence and set the societal agenda.
Before working at CNBC, Limukii worked at TV47, where she was an anchor and political reporter. Her engaging presentation style and insightful reporting garnered significant attention.
Flora's career commenced with a content creation role at TUKO in 2019, as well as a role at the national broadcaster after she completed her studies at the University of Nairobi.
Limukii graduated from UON with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies, specialising in Broadcast Journalism. She also holds a German B2 Level certification from Goethe Institute, indicating proficiency in both written and spoken German.
Aside from her TV and digital exploits, Limukii also enjoys a significant presence on social media, offering insights into her professional endeavours and personal interests.
