The Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) has announced 99 job vacancies and urged interested and qualified Kenyans to apply.

In a notice issued on Tuesday November 18, the hospital announced that 97 of the opportunities would be permanent and eligible for a pension, while two would be on a fixed-term contract.

The roles ranged from senior Director-level positions to specialist roles, as well as office and administrative assistant roles, technician roles, and even a mortician role.

Among the advertised roles were two Deputy Director positions, one in Human Resources Management and Development and one in Administration. Other roles include medical specialists, registered nurses, research officers, clinical psychologists, medical officers and technologists.

“KUTRRH is seeking to recruit highly motivated, dynamic, and result-oriented individuals of high integrity, innovation, and ability to deliver results to fill vacant positions,” KUTTRH noted.

“The Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the available positions on Contract and Permanent and Pensionable (P&P) terms,” it added.

While announcing the opportunities, KUTRRH disclosed that applicants had three weeks to apply, with the application window set to lapse on Tuesday, December 9.

In terms of how to apply, KUTRRH directed that all applications should be submitted via its recruitment website, with the subject line clearly indicating the position applied for instance, “Application for Deputy Director, Administration”, and the job reference number.

The referral facility noted that for detailed job descriptions, qualifications, and application instructions, applicants were required to visit its website and click on the ‘Careers’ tab.

In the notice, KUTRRH affirmed that it does not charge a fee for any stage of the recruitment process, seemingly warning applicants not to fall victim to fraudsters offering jobs at the health facility.

Also, it warned applicants against job canvassing, where it stated that attempting to externally influence the recruitment would lead to automatic disqualification.

KUTRRH also noted that only shortlisted candidates would be contacted, adding that the chosen applicants would be required to demonstrate compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution and submit the required documents. This includes clearance certificates from EACC, DCI, KRA, HELB, CRB, and CUE.
