Kenyan Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Emmanuel Nyangoma has registered an impressive 2025 season in the United Kingdom.
Nyangoma is a Kenyan UK-based amateur featherweight fighter. The fighter has been recognised as Kenya's first-ever MMA fighter to gain significant international traction, primarily competing on the UK regional circuit.
He is based in Luton, Bedfordshire, carrying out his MMA training at Legends MMA.
In his fights, Nyangoma is usually referred to by the moniker "Emmanuel the Problem" during his ring introductions.
Nyangoma began his amateur career in 2024 and has since become a notable prospect in the UK and Ireland regional rankings.
In 2025, the Kenyan fighter recorded a 100 per cent submission rate in all his victories, with a particular proficiency for the rear-naked choke.
Throughout 2025, he recorded a three-fight winning streak that has positioned him for a potential championship belt fight in 2026.
Some of his performances were at Cage Rage 4 and Anarchy Fight Series 4, where his opponents submitted to defeat.
Some of his wins include the fights against Naqeeb Hassan and Blake McLachman.
Nyangoma has recorded only one loss in 2025. In a fight on July 26, he was defeated by Abdala Diriye at the Rage 22 event.
Mixed Martial Arts as a sport is rapidly growing in Kenya. The country hosted its first-ever officially sanctioned professional MMA event in December 2025.
The MMA event was organised by ANZA MMA, which runs amateur KO Fight Nights. It is recognised by global organisations like the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and the Professional Fighters League (PFL) Africa.
