Nigerian pastor Primate Elijah Ayodele, who accurately predicted President William Ruto’s 2022 election win, has issued a new warning ahead of the 2027 polls, cautioning the President to be wary of betrayals in the run-up to the elections.
Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, released his 2026 prophecies in a 146-page document covering several African countries, including Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Benin Republic, and South Sudan.
The extensive document contains predictions on presidents, governors, national issues, and influential personalities across Africa, with Ayodele warning that in Kenya, President Ruto could face economic difficulties, attempts to destabilise his government, and the loss of a trusted ally.
On the potential loss of a key ally just a year before the elections, the prophet said it would be a painstaking setback for Ruto’s camp, though he did not provide details on who might be involved or the circumstances surrounding the loss.
“The president must re-strategise because there are some political plans that are going on. They will call him an ingrate, and there will be attempts to destabilise his government, especially if he doesn’t come up with a policy that supports youth,” the prophecy stated.
Ayodele further urged Ruto to strengthen the country’s economic performance and address youth-related concerns to avoid a potentially dire situation before the next elections.
The Nigerian prophet also warned the president to pay close attention to security and natural disasters, while carefully managing relationships within his ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
“He must work on the economy well to avoid a dire situation. He will lose one of his very trusted allies before the election, and he must be careful in his party. I see a decision that won’t favour him at that level. He should work on security and natural disasters.”
Ayodele’s predictions have attracted significant attention in Kenya, given his previous track record of accurately forecasting the outcome of the 2022 presidential race, where he correctly predicted Ruto's win.
In September last year, the primate advised DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua to support whichever candidate the Gen Z generation chooses in the 2027 elections and drop his own presidential ambitions.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Ayodele noted that only Gen Zs would be able to unseat Ruto, urging Gachagua to direct his resources towards candidates supported by Gen Zs.
He noted that Gachagua’s ambitions for the house on the hill would be futile, as his former boss would go above and beyond to win the polls.
He explained that it is only the Gen Zs that can remove Ruto, and anyone who does not have their support will not make any meaningful impact in the election.
