A 5-year-old child died on Friday morning after a fire razed a dormitory at Infill Academy in Komarock, Nairobi.
According to witnesses, the inferno broke out in the multi-storeyed dormitory at around 4 am.
Mike Musyoka, a resident of the area while speaking to Kenyans.co.ke stated that neighbours were awoken by screams and calls for help from the boarding school.
The victim is reportedly the child of the school's matron, who had gone to assist other children to escape.
