Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho Pledges to Meet President Uhuru Kenyatta During the Launch of the SGR

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Sunday revived the rivalry between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking at Jacaranda grounds at a National Super Alliance rally after the presentation of presidential papers for the August polls by Raila Odinga, Joho stated President Kenyatta’s government had failed Kenyans.

Joho stated that he would make his way on the 1st of June when the President would be launching the SGR to take him to task over rampant corruption.

He accused the Jubilee government of condoning and 'supervising' corruption where massive public funds had been looted.

“Nataka niombe nafasi niende niwaulize pesa za wananchi zile wameiba watarudisha lini,

Tutalinda kura..tutalala kituoni, tutakesha kituoni, tutaoga kituoni na tutakula kituoni,” noted Joho.

(loosely translated as I seek your permission to meet Jubilee during the launch of the SGR to beseech them to return stolen funds, we shall protect our votes by all means)

Orange Democratic Movement and NASA principal Odinga also took issue with Jubilee’s importation of maize from Mexico to cushion Kenyans as a ploy to swindle public funds.

(The maize  is with Ruto and at State House, in our first ninety days, the cost of living will go down and the cost of basic items will be affordable).

President Kenyatta is expected on the 1st of June to officially launch the multi-billion SGR project that is set to transform the transport industry in the country and a huge milestone for the Jubilee government ahead of the August 8 polls.
