National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has unveiled a legal team that will take up all his legal battles during and after the upcoming elections.
The team is headed by his seasoned legal advisor, lawyer Paul Mwangi who is currently representing him in a defamation suit filed by former Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru.
Other members of the team are Constitutional lawyer Elisha Ongoya and Prof Ben Sihanya.
The team is tasked with gathering evidence to support Mr Odinga's win should it be challenged in the Supreme Court.
It is also tasked with collecting evidence of any malpractices during and after the polls to help Odinga challenge the results in court.
Odinga challenged the election results of 2013 in court and had some evidence dismissed by the Supreme Court.
This is a mistake that the legal team will be keen not to repeat as they gather evidence in advance and prepare a case taking into account the possibility of either a victory or a loss.
The legal team will be operating from Mr Odinga's campaign secretariat in Westlands.
