The 12th Annual edition of the Groove Awards was in no doubt a colourful event that was not only attended by gospel lovers by was graced by about eight artistes from the secular scene.
The secular artistes were surprisingly gracious to arrive on time, interact with their fans and even stay through the ceremony where they were barely officially recognized.
Represented by Sauti Sol, who were honoured to present one of the awards, the artistes lauded the organizers for having provided a platform that honours their gospel industry counterparts.
Savara Mudigi of the group further expressed that he desired to witness a properly managed award ceremony such as Groove happening for the secular artistes.
Other artistes of repute who were in attendance included Avril, Jaguar, Wahu, Nameless, Big Pin and Octopizzo.
Other media personalities present at the event including actors were Kiss FM's Shaffie Weru, Actresses Naomi Njenga, Awinja, Kriss Darling of Dohty Family, Comedians Churchill, Chipukeezy, Sleepy David, Jasper Murume and Mamito.
