Kiambu Governor William Kabogo Claims Opponents in Jubilee Nominations Used Witchcraft to Beat Him

Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has insinuated that supernatural powers may have influenced his loss to Kabete MP Ferdinard Waititu in the Jubilee nominations.

Speaking on Wednesday, the Governor mentioned a witchdoctor who had been brought from South Sudan by politicians to win them seats.

“Kiambu is among the counties the witchdoctor has gone to and all his clients have won their different primaries, “ Kabogo revealed in an interview with Tuko.co.ke.

The Governor pointed out that he had not consulted the witchdoctor like his opponents and blamed his losing on the sorcery. He added that he is deeply religious and would never seek leadership via such demonic avenues.

He apprehensively spoke about Waititu clarifying that they had nothing in common and accused him of thriving on propaganda rather than a development record.

He went ahead to dismiss Waititu saying that he (Kabogo) had matured politically over the years and that he was not village material.

Kabogo, who had spoken out on the Jubilee nominations terming them as shambolic, decided to run for governorship as an independent after he lost to Waititu.

The Governor had earlier claimed that Deputy President William Ruto used money to frustrate his bid for the Jubilee party ticket to defend his seat.

He declared that he would lead a protest if the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) failed to transfer officials who conducted Jubilee nominations in Kiambu.
