The Mumias East Member of Parliament made his entry into the Mumias sugar company scandal after Lugari MP Ayub Savula alleged that he may have been involved in the death of the company's legal affairs manager.

Wycliffe Oparanya

Kakamega Governor Wyclife Oparanya was sensationally linked to the firm by his Senate counterpart Bonny Khalwale.

Khalwale is reported to have said that "Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya lied to us when he said he supported Mumias. The Sh200 Million allocated to the company ended up in the pockets of individuals and never reached the company."
