A man in Nairobi is being held at Kabete Police Station after allegedly pushing his British girlfriend from the 6th floor of their apartment in Lavington Estate.
The two are said to have had a quarrel on Tuesday morning which led to the unidentified man pushing his girlfriend through the window.
According to their neighbours, the two often fight and the situation was worse today as things got out of control.
The woman was rushed to hospital in critical condition and police are continuing with investigations into the incident.
Elsewhere, a decomposing body of a man was found in a maize plantation with his upper body mauled by vultures.
Two days ago, over the weekend, a third-year University of Nairobi student died while sliding down a staircase railing in a hostel.
Kevin Chirchir, a Bachelor of Science student at Upper Kabete Campus is said to have lost balance and hit his head on the concrete floor.
According to sources, one of his friends, Kevin Monda, claimed that he had accompanied the deceased to a local pub and at around 8pm he said he was sleepy and wanted to go and rest in his room.
