Opposition Chief Raila Odinga will not visit Nyeri and Kiambu Counties this week are ealier reported in sections of the media.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, ODM Party Director of Communications Philip Etale stated that the previous campaign itinerary was not authentic.
"Raila will go to Kajiado County on Thursday, visit Meru on Friday and later proceed to Tharaka Nithi on Saturday.
"Whatever the media got initially was not authentic," he stated.
During his last visit to Nyeri during the Madaraka Day celebrations, the former Prime Minister was not given a chance to address the crowd, something that did not go down well with his supporters.
Chris Kiruta, an aspiring Member of Parliament in Mathira allied to Odinga, stated that the tour was postponed and not entirely cancelled.
"He is admired here and the residents want to hear from him.
"I spoke to his office and I was told he will eventually visit...he will get a huge chunk of votes despite the notion that this is a jubilee zone," he said.
Last week, a group of youth disrupted a rally organised by NASA leaders in Kapsabet, which is considered a stronghold of Jubilee Party.
On Wednesday, while speaking during the National Election Conference, Odinga stated that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had failed to rein in leaders who have been engaging in hatespeech, to ensure peace during and after the elections.
