NASA to Prosecute 7 Cabinet Secretaries Within Seven Days

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has threatened to sue seven Cabinet Secretaries who they say have been campaigning for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

During a press conference led by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, the Alliance stated that it had written to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko demanding for the prosecution of the CSs.

The Secretaries include Joseph Nkaissery (Interior), Najib Balala (Tourism), Fred Matiang'i (Education), Mwangi Kiunjuri (Devolution), James Macharia (Transport), Eugene Wamalwa (Water) and Cleopa Mailu (Health).

"Kenyans who may not be aware of the gross abuse of office by President Uhuru Kenyatta and cohorts should know that the IEBC, DCI, and DPP are aware of the violations but are conveniently colluding to defraud citizens of free fair and credible elections," stated Mudavadi.

The leaders maintained that the government officers have been breaking the law by openly fronting the Jubilee administration's projects during an election period.

NASA has now given the DPP seven days to prosecute the seven failure to which they would institute the process.

Last week, 13 Jubilee administration officials including Cabinet and Principal Secretaries were interviewed on various radio stations where they fronted the government's projects for the last four years.

A number of the CSs have recently been on the spot for openly campaigning for Kenyatta's re-election bid on different forums.
