Chris Kirubi Denies Having a Secret Office to Help President Uhuru Kenyatta's Re-election

Businessman Chris Kirubi has termed as a blatant lie the National Super Alliance (NASA) allegations that he is part of a team working behind the scenes to guarantee the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The business magnate was responding to claims by NASA principal Musalia Mudavadi that he is among people operating from an office which only selected individuals are allowed to access.

On Wednesday Mudavadi stated that "the offices of this organisation (Mt Kenya Foundation) are accessed only by President Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, businessman Kirubi, Mrs Winnie Guchu, Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery, former Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir and former Chief of General Staff Joseph Karangi."

Addressing the press from his office, the billionaire businessman dismissed the report demanding those behind the "lies" to apologise to him and the nation at large.

"This is a lie, it is a total fabrication. You don't gain voters by lying to them," he stated.

He warned that such acts could divide the country and scare away investors a result of which the country would never grow economically.

Dr Kirubi weighed in on the ongoing debate over the August Election ballot papers stating that the electoral body had the authority to procure election materials without external influence.

"People are fighting for business, they are making Kenyans suffer for their own personal interests," Kirubi stated

The businessman also took the opportunity to urge Kenyans to be wise and see the truth in the midst of all the lies.

"We must protect the economy by protecting peace and protecting the government in power," he urged.
