Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto Apologises Over Mistakes Jubilee Has Made

Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has apologised to Nakuru residents for what he termed economic oppression and neglect that the Jubilee administration has subjected them to.

Speaking at a public rally in the county, Ruto disclosed that he supported President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in 2013 to free them from the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The Chama Cha Mashinani ( CCM) party leader divulged that even back then, he saw nothing good in the two leaders but decided to support them so as to free them from the ICC yoke.

"I apologise for the problems you have faced for the past four years under Jubilee. I am sorry that I am the one who asked you to vote them," he said.

The governor urged the residents to vote in the National Super Alliance (NASA) assuring them that they would be freed from the economic bondage and would be safe in his hands.

"I assure you that you are safe in my hands unlike DP Ruto who is doing business. When you vote NASA, you have voted me as Deputy Prime Minister," he stated.

The NASA principal took a swipe at the Jubilee administration for how it has handled the maize flour shortage, adding that the Government of retired President Daniel Moi had done better.

He added: "They are just using unga (flour) to play politics. The said maize flour is non-existent anywhere. It is only found in televisions. The leadership of retired President Daniel Moi was much better than Jubilee.
