Daring Robbers Vandalize ATM at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Steal Sh2.9 Million

Two men are in police custody after they allegedly vandalised an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) stealing Sh2.9 Million.

According to the police, the two made away with the Sh2.9 Million out of the Sh4 Million that had been banked at the ATM two days earlier.

Sources revealed that the theft was only discovered after customers who had gone to make withdrawals, found out that there was no money.

Police were immediately called to the scene and immediately began investigations to the daring incident.

Elsewhere, three suspected thugs were on Monday shot dead in two separate robbery attempts in the city.

The first suspect was killed at Mowlem area in Dandora after a brief chase by the police while the other two suspects were killed in a botched robbery in Kayole.

The gang had been attacking and robbing residents when an alarm was raised alerting patrolling police who rushed and gunned down the suspects.

Two pistols were recovered from the two separate incidents.
