An Administration Police (AP) officer is on the run after he reportedly shot dead two colleagues.
According to sources, the officer turned his gun on his colleagues at Kasiela RDU camp in Baringo South.
Another officer is receiving treatment at the Marigat sub-county hospital where he is being treated for gunshot wounds he sustained during the Wednesday night incident.
Marigat human rights activist, Amos Olempaka said that the officers were on a routine patrol to flush out bandits in the area before the shooting.
Olempaka claimed that police officers who are participating in the operation are not treated well and that their situation was dire.
"He must have been frustrated...he discharged his stress on colleagues, killing them at the scene," disclosed Olempaka.
The activist told a local daily that the officers had not received their allowances.
Investigations are ongoing.
