Six people were killed and eight others injured in a road accident on Thursday night.
The six among them five family members died after the matatu they were travelling in collided with a canter at Landi area on Voi-Mwatate road.
The five family members died on the spot while the sixth victim died on Friday morning.
The injured victims were rushed to the Moi Referral Hospital in Voi and later transferred to the Ikanga Private Hospital.
The matatu was reported to have been ferrying mourners to a burial in Ngulu area in Taita Taveta County.
According to the Taita Taveta Police Commander Fred Ochieng the matatu lost control and overturned after hitting the canter.
Ochieng stated that the bodies were taken to Moi Referral Hospital morgue adding that investigations had been launched to establish the cause of the accident.
