NASA Insists They Will Have 5 Agents Per Polling Station

The National Super Alliance (NASA)  has stated that it will deploy five agents to every polling station after IEBC stated that their plan was illegal.

NASA asked IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati to support their move and avoid taking sides.

On Thursday, Chebukati stated that each party was allowed to only have one representative per polling station and not five as NASA was planning.

NASA Flag bearer Raila Odinga said the move to have the agents was to ensure that the presidential vote was guarded.

The Opposition Leader said the agents would send immediate results from polling stations to the NASA presidential tallying centre - a strategy he termed as "adopt a polling station".

The agents will also monitor the polling station registers to check who has not voted and trace their whereabouts.

On Tuesday, Odinga asked Kenyans to help him raise Sh410 Million to support the strategy dubbed "adopt a polling station".

Meanwhile, on Friday, the Court of Appeal ruled in NASA's favour stating that that presidential results in the August elections will be declared at the constituency level by the returning officer.
