A close ally of Deputy President (DP) William Ruto has declared that he would not support Jubilee party presidential candidate, Uhuru Kenyatta, in the coming General Election.
Flamboyant lawyer Donald Kipkorir declared that he would support National Super Alliance (NASA) candidate Raila Odinga.
Kipkorir made his political stand known to the public through a post on his Twitter timeline.
The vocal lawyer who campaigned aggressively for President Kenyatta in 2013, however, maintained that he would support DP Ruto in the 2022 race.
On 8.8.17, I will vote Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga as our 5th President ... On 9.8.22, I will vote H. E. William Ruto as our 6th President.

In a Facebook post seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the celebrated lawyer disclosed the reasons for his change of heart stating: "Kenya needs a leader who will put the country above self. Who will want all Kenya to rise together. A leader who wouldn't discriminate because of political ideology or tribe or religion. We need a leader who will not do business competing with the state but instead establish a sovereign fund for all. A leader who will not delegitimize tribes or leaders."
He added that: "Unless Kenya turns around now, we will forever be a failed State like DRC, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Counties with potential but will never succeed."
The coming presidential election is proving to be a hotly contested affair with President Kenyatta and Odinga emerging as the front runners.
