Beth Mugo, Maina Kamanda and Isaac Mwaura Included in Jubilee Party Nomination List

Nominated Senator Beth Mugowho is President Uhuru Kenyatta's cousin, has once again made it to the Jubilee Party nomination list to the Senate.

This is the second time that the once powerful minister will be featuring on the list, having been nominated to the current parliament after 2013 elections.

Reports in a local daily also indicate that politicians who lost in Jubilee nominations have also been included in the list.

Leading the pack is MP Isaac Mwaura who lost in Ruiru parliamentary race and Runyenjes legislator Cecily Mbarire who was beaten in the gubernatorial nominations in Embu.

Veteran politician and Starehe MP Maina Kamanda who was floored by musician Charles Kanyi aka Jaguar in his bid to defend hi seat is also among the nominees.

This comes after the President urged those who lost the primaries to stick with the party, stating that they would serve in other positions.

It is not clear what criteria the party used to arrive at the list but it offers a new lease of life to politicians who would have spent the next five years in the cold.

On Thursday, more than 400 leaders allied to Jubilee in Rift Valley called a press conference and threatened to ditch the party, claiming that Party officials and leaders had submitted the names of their girlfriends and relatives in the party nomination list.

Recently, Wiper party and its leader Kalonzo Musyoka came under harsh criticism after it nominated Ken Musyoka (Kalonzo's son) to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
