Social media was abuzz on Tuesday with Kenyans discussing different subjects.

#RailaInKiambu

The hashtag was a  topic of discussion after Opposition Leader Raila Odinga held a press briefing ahead of his visit to Kiambu County.

In his briefing, Raila sent a message to the Kikuyu Community stating that the National Super Alliance (NASA) government under his leadership would ensure all Kenyans are safe.

Mr Odinga noted that Kikuyus are Kenyans and should not feel insecure if he became President.

He further noted that he was not a dictator and would foster national unity in the country.

The Opposition Leader revealed that his government would focus on constructing rural roads in Kiambu and other neglected areas.

Social media users reacted to the message with many people welcoming him to Kiambu.

The hashtag hit the trend after the government delivered laptops to ADC primary school in Garissa, Muthale Primary school in Kitui, Loya primary in Turkana, Tiyinei Primary in Pokot among others.

The County was a subject of discussion after the Government showcased some of their projects in the region. Some of the cited projects include; improved medical facilities, good transport infrastructure, and Huduma Centre.

Kenya Power

Kenya Power was a subject of discussion on Tuesday after they shut down electricity supply to Kibos prison in Kisumu.

Kenya Power regional manager Fan Obiero noted that the prison owed them approximately 650,000 in unpaid bills.

The hashtag hit the trends after President Uhuru Kenyatta and his team visited Machakos County.

The President is in Machakos to campaign for his re-election bid and launch development projects in the region.
