On Tuesday, Baringo County Commissioner Peter Okwanyo issued a warrant of arrest for two Pokot Chiefs linked to Tiaty Sub-county attacks that left six police officers and four Tugen herders dead and several others injured.
Okwanyo ordered the immediate arrest of Makany sub-location Chief Philip Aremo and Samson Kala of Amaya sub-location during the launch of the 'Inua Jamii' programme for people aged 70 and above.
The officers were killed in a fierce gunfire exchange at Mochongoi area along Baringo-Laikipia border on July 12.

"I personally contacted the chiefs but they complained of lacking transport. So I am ordering their immediate arrest from wherever they are hiding," Okwanyo stated.
