Four Police Arrested After Robbing Sh2 Million from Chinese National

Four police officers will be arraigned in court today facing robbery with violence charges after they allegedly stole from a Chinese contractor on Saturday.

The four officers, who were arrested on Sunday, are believed to have attacked Mr Wuen Dun along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway, where they made away with Sh2 Million.

Recounting the incident, the Chinese told police that he had been driving towards Nakuru on Saturday when a car blocked the road and the gang of four accosted him.

The driver of the vehicle was also arrested after he was deemed an accomplice to perpetrators of the robbery.

Investigators confirmed that one officer, who is attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Chepalungu, was found in possession of Sh100,000 and a white saloon car that was used in the robbery.

A senior female officer attached to the Central DCI office was also found with Sh95,000 when she was arrested at her Shauri Moyo residence.

Police found the third officer also attached to the Central DCI with Sh100,000 at his Gachie home having already spent Sh50,000 of the shared loot.

The fourth officer, who is a constable at the Kikuyu DCI, was found with Sh150,000 at his Kilimani Police line residence.

The four were locked up at the Limuru police cells.
