Laikipia County Director of Education Salesa Adano has been implicated in an attempt to rig the August Election.
Adano was taken to court after he tried to bribe Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Coordinator for Saku Constituency Justis Nzomo.
Reports indicate that Mr Adano wanted Mr Nzomo to influence the appointment of presiding officers who would be posted in Saku for the August 8 polls.
Adano appeared before Isiolo Chief Magistrate Samuel Mungai and was with bribery.
Magistrate Mungai released Adano on a Sh200,000 bond.
The case will be mentioned on August 7.
Adano's hearing is set for September 13.
