DP William Ruto Warned That Endorsing Jubilee Candidates Could Cost Him Presidency in 2022

Deputy President William Ruto has been warned that his 2022 presidential bid could fail if he continues endorsing candidates in the Central region.

Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Ndaragwa MP candidate Cyrus Thairu warned DP Ruto that his endorsing of the Jubilee candidates could work against him during the 2022 General Election.

“Ruto should know what he does, especially here in Central, will haunt him in 2022. It will have untold impact,” he cautioned.

The candidate in the Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua-led party stated that even though MCC had a good working relationship with Jubilee, they weren’t pleased with the president’s campaign.

He expressed his displeasure that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto had been supporting candidates who were not favourable to the area residents.

“But when the President and his deputy come to Nyandarua, they endorse some candidates who do not represent the wishes of the residents,” he said.

Thairu was responding to President Kenyatta and DP Ruto visit to Nyandarua earlier in the week where they campaigned for Jubilee candidates.
