The High Court has ruled that televangelist Gilbert Deya be taken to Kamiti Maximum Prison pending a ruling on his bail.
The Court directed that the controversial Bishop be remanded for seven days until August 10 when a ruling on his bond/bail request will be delivered.
Deya was deported from the United Kingdom and arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Friday morning.
He was later taken to Milimani Law Court where he was accused of stealing five children between 1999 and 2004.
He, however, denied all the accusations stating that he did not steal any children from Mountain view estate.
The controversial evangelist was deported after losing a long-standing court battle against extradition, in which he argued that it would breach his human rights to send him back to his home country.
Previous attempts to deport the controversial evangelist have been futile as he has been filing appeal after appeal.
