NASA Flag Bearer Raila Odinga Final Rally Address At Uhuru Park in Nairobi

National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga led the coalition's final rally at Uhuru Park on Saturday.

In what the grand finale of the 2017 elections, the opposition chief insisted on eight key things in his address to thousands of his supporters. 

1. Tuesday "tsunami"

The opposition leader advised his supporters to brace themselves for a great battle between him and the Jubilee government on Tuesday. Comparing the voting day to a tsunami, Raila assured the thousands of NASA supporters that he was more than ready to face off against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.

2. Change is coming

Promising Kenyans that he would begin change after winning the August 8 elections, Raila told his supporters to prepare for it.

He referred to the youth who had led a revolution whose effects would be felt on the election day.

3. Corruption

Raila stated that he would negotiate better deals for Kenya as the Jubilee had failed to provide the same for the country.

He blamed corruption in the government for Kenya losing out in the Kenya-Uganda pipeline project that saw it use the Tanzanian route making the country lose out on 45000 jobs.

4. Inflated Contracts

The NASA leader promised that when the NASA government comes to power, contracts would not be inflated.

He cited projects such as the Standard Gauge Railway whose costs had been greatly inflated costing the taxpayers more money.

5. Credible Elections

Raila assured his supporters that the coalition would ensure that the polls are credible.

He urged Kenyans to come out in large numbers and vote for NASA.

6. Progress for all

Raila promised that his government would fight corruption as Jubilee had overseen the theft of over Sh350 Billion in just five years.

In this way, Kenya would progress as a whole and not just a few individuals of influence benefitting.

7. Tribalism

He thanked youth of distancing themselves from tribalism as he expressed optimism of garnering votes from all corners of the country.

Raila declared that he would get 1 million votes from Central Province which is Jubilee's stronghold.

8. Journey to Canaan

He completed his address with an itinerary of how he would people to Canaan.

The journey would start on Tuesday morning by crossing River Jordan and by midday they would be on the other side at Jericho.

In the evening the people would have made it to Jericho and at midnight is when they will arrive in Jerusalem.
