President Uhuru Kenyatta Holds Final Jubilee Rally at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru

President Uhuru Kenyatta led the final Jubilee Rally on Saturday at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru because Uhuru Park grounds in Nairobi were already booked by the National Super Alliance (NASA).

Afraha Stadium became the next best option which was the same venue Uhuru had launched his presidential bid in 2013.

During the rally, Uhuru outlined 8 reasons why he should be re-elected together with Deputy President William Ruto

1. Good development record

As per the slogan of 2013 of “Kusema na Kutenda” Uhuru pointed out that Jubilee had tried to deliver on the promises they made during the previous election.

That is why he was confident that Kenyans would reelect on August 8.

2. Roads Building

He explained how the Jubilee government had invested in roads in the country.

In Nakuru County alone he stated how they had spent over Sh16 billion to build 300kms of roads.

3. Industrial park in Naivasha

Uhuru delved on plans on how the government would build a special economic zone in Naivasha town that would create jobs for the residents.

4. Free maternity care for new born babies

He talked about the free maternity that the government had provided for mothers and if elected the same would continue.

5. Free NHIF cards to new mothers

He then promised that new mothers would be issued with free NHIF cards after giving birth. This would enable them get medical cover under the government scheme.

6. Free education

He assured that the government would spend an additional Sh10 Million to expand secondary schools so as to have more capacity to provide for free education from standard one to form four.

7. Subsidized fertilizer

To appeal to farmers in the region, the president promised to subsidize the prices of fertilizer adding that the government had earlier reduced the prices from Sh2,800 to Sh1,800.

8. Prayer for Peace

He concluded with a prayer for peace asking for calm elections where the will of the people will be upheld.
