The Kenya Urban Authority (KURA) has stated that parts of Ngong Road in Nairobi will be closed until Saturday for construction.
Through an advert in a local daily, KURA announced that the section between Faulu Bank, Garage, Water Company, and Baptist Church access will be closed today.
The Mucai Drive, Residence, and Carmax access will be shut on Friday while the China Centre to Shell access will be closed on Saturday.
Kura stated that the 24-hour closure would help them carry out Asphalt Surface Course Works along the sections from Box Culvert to Shell.
Motorists have been advised to access Mucai drive and other areas using the Mbagathi Highway.
Phase One of the Ngong Road Dual Carriage way construction was set to be completed in July but has been delayed due to challenges of shifting water and power lines.
A Japanese firm, World Kaihatsu Kogyo, will oversee the completion of the first phase of the project stretching 2.7 Kilometers between Kenya Library and the Prestige Plaza.
The project was launched in August 2016 and is set to cost Sh1.4 Billion.
