NASA Petition is a Science Fiction - Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi Declares

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi on Tuesday humiliated National Super Alliance (NASA) lawyers during his submission at the Supreme Court.

Addressing claims that the elections were a sham, Ahmednasir noted that the NASA petition was a "science fiction that would only interest Directors and actors in Hollywood".

He dismissed claims by the petitioners that results were altered in favour of President Kenyatta, noting that the allegations were based on a theory with no adequate proof.

"Even without any defence, there is nothing they can prove. It's an allegation of rumours," he stated.

Regarding allegations that a chip was implanted to manipulate the results at a frequency of 11%, the Senior Counsel dismissed the claims noting they were "pure science fiction".

"It is so absurd that someone can put a chart and say that the third respondent won the election because a chip was placed to manipulate results," he submitted.

Senior Counsel Fred Ngatia also dismissed claims that there was a mathematical formula being used to alter the results explaining that the formula had no application on the election results whatsoever.

"There was no Mathematical predetermination of results and it is not possible," Ngatia stated.

He further noted that from all the discrepancies, the petitioner would only receive an additional 822 votes which would not affect the final tally.

"The third respondent (Kenyatta) has nothing to gain from the 822 votes deducted from the petitioner (Raila)," he explained.

President Kenyatta's lawyers have been allocated three hours to argue for the dismissal of Mr Odinga's case.

Once they conclude, the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and the Attorney-General Githu Muigai will have 20 minutes each to argue on points of law.
