My Life Could Be in Danger- Senator Moses Wetangula Claims

National Super Alliance (NASA) principal Moses Wetangula has raised an alarm stating that his life is in danger after his bodyguard was allegedly fired from the service.

Speaking shortly after attending a Supreme Court session, Wetangula on Tuesday noted that he was now alone without any security, hence, exposing him to situations that are a threat to his life.

"As you can see, I am just walking alone. This, in fact, puts my life in danger. So ideally I am not safe and this impunity should stop.

"If anything happens Kenyans should know that the Inspector General fired my security and has not given me a replacement and my life could be in danger," Wetangula told KTN News.

Regarding the way forward, the Bungoma Senator-elect revealed that he would move to Court to seek justice for his bodyguard Siman Lonyang'.

"I will send my lawyers to go fight for the rights of Simon," he stated.

Mr Lonyang' was allegedly fired from the police service on Tuesday evening after an altercation at the Supreme Court.

Lonyang on Monday engaged in a scuffle with his seniors after trying to enter the Court room in the company of Wetangula while armed.

Following the altercation, he was forcefully disarmed and ejected from the premises.
