Justice Mohammed Ibrahim to Miss Supreme Court Ruling on NASA Election Petition

Supreme Court Judge Mohammed Ibrahim was on Friday missing from the bench during the determination of the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential election petition.

The judge also missed the final hearing of the petition on Tuesday, reducing the bench to a team of six.

Chief Justice David Maraga explained that Judge Ibrahim was taken ill on Tuesday morning and was undergoing treatment, though his ailment was not made public.

During his opening statement on Friday, Justice Maraga told the court that the Judge was still in hospital.

"I'm sure that you are aware that the Honourable Justice Ibrahim was taken ill, he is in hospital.

"I have spoken to him this morning, he is doing very well and by the grace of God he should be discharged in a few days," Justice Maraga conveyed.
