National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga will face a major challenge if he wins the fresh elections that have been scheduled to be held on October 17.
On Tuesday, Sirisia MP John Walukhe expressed confidence that President Uhuru Kenyatta would emerge victorious in the upcoming polls adding that the Jubilee legislators would impeach the Opposition leader if he wins.
"It is indeed laughable to see Raila trying to use all means to enter into the government yet he knows he lost the election. Uhuru won it by a big margin. He is trying to use underhand tactics but I want to inform him that he has no path since we will impeach him," the MP stated in Eldoret.
Mr Walukhe added that the impeachment was possible since Jubilee had more numbers in the National Assembly and the Senate to initiate and complete the impeachment process.
He further revealed that he knew Raila’s intentions as he once worked in Raila’s team.
"I was an ODM legislator before I joined Jubilee and I understand Raila much more than anybody. His plan is not to win a presidential election, but he is planning for a coalition just like the way he tricked former President Mwai Kibaki," he disclosed.
He further stated that the Western region was a Jubilee zone that would vote overwhelmingly for Uhuru.
"We are ready for campaigns and I want to assure that Jubilee is going to sweep all of the Western Counties. We will intensify our campaigns and Uhuru will get triple what he received in the August election," he stated.
