President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto Warn IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee team have sent a tough warning to IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati after he sent a memo to CEO Ezra Chiloba demanding answers over 12 anomalies that happened in last month's elections.

Addressing their supporters in Eldoret town, President Kenyatta and his deputy noted that Chebukati should avoid sideshows and concentrate on ensuring Kenyans go to the polls on October 17th, 2017.

"We are telling Chebukati that we don't want stupidity, we want to vote on October 17th, 2017, we don't want sideshows and letters.

"We are telling IEBC not to joke with us, we want Kenyans to vote and decide their leaders," Deputy President William Ruto stated.

Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen on his part noted that he had seen the IEBC chair writing letters that were contrary to the Constitution.

"We want to tell Chebukati from Eldoret that we can't go back, on October 17th we must have the elections. If he brings stories, we will take 1 Million people to his office," Murkomen stated.

Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju, speaking at a different venue, noted that IEBC was the most accused party in the petition and as such, they should carry their own cross.

"IEBC was the most indicted, actually it was the only organisation that was indicted by the Supreme Court. The President and the Opposition did not bear any blame for any mess that may have happened.

"Therefore, IEBC has to take responsibility for some of those mistakes if not all of those mistakes since it was their responsibility to midwife the process," Tuju stated.

He expressed Jubilee's concerns with the infighting at the polls agency adding that it could jeopardize next month's election.

"The issue is of concern to us because there are 39 days before the next elections and they should not be as discordant as they are at the moment," he noted.
