Isaac Ruto Confirms He Will Back Uhuru in Fresh Presidential Election

Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, who was a co-principal in the National Super Alliance (NASA), has confirmed that he will back President Uhuru Kenyatta in the October 17 presidential election.

Speaking during a rally in Kapkatet, Kericho, Isaac stated that he was fully behind Kenyatta and was confident he would emerge victorious.

"I am here to confirm that we have joined you (President Kenyatta) and we will vote for you," he stated.

His sentiments were echoed by other leaders in the region who had previously dumped the Jubilee Party and they stated that 'only a fool cannot change his mind.'

Deputy President William Ruto welcomed the former Bomet Governor to the party saying they would march together in October to trounce NASA leader Raila Odinga.

The former Governor was accompanied by Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno who was also supporting Mr Odinga in the August elections.
